Zeuianius (^) deferihes the fextan, which is the rareft of all, as j having been feen by himfelf, and obferving regu- j lar periods for a whole winter : and, before him, j Gentilis (r), declares he had feen the fame fever. ' Not only Hippocrates '(j), but likewife Thomas a Veiga (/), Sponius («), Rhodius (v), Boer- - haaye (.v). Morgnani (z), WerlhofF (y), Tiftot, &c. record inftances of the feptan. The oftan oc- | curs more frequently, and Sim. Schultz (aa) had ; an opportunity of obferving it.
