Zeuianius (^) deferihes the fextan, which is the rareft of all, as j having been feen by himfelf, and obferving regu- j lar periods for a whole winter : and, before him, j Gentilis (r), declares he had feen the fame fever. ' Not only Hippocrates '(j), but likewife Thomas a Veiga (/), Sponius («), Rhodius (v), Boer- - haaye (.v). Morgnani (z), WerlhofF (y), Tiftot, &c. record inftances of the feptan. The oftan oc- | curs more frequently, and Sim. Schultz (aa) had ; an opportunity of obferving it. It was obferved ; to continue a long time, and in an exquifite \ form, by Amatus Lulitanus (ZA), Peter Salius | Diverfus (re), Ballonius [dd\ Ettmuller («•)* Paulinus Pomp. Caimus (gg), Caprilius j (A6), Sponius (/V), Nigrifclius (//), Salmuthus * (n/m), WerlhofF (////), Riedlinius (co), De Haen j {pp), TifTcjt (yy), llagendornius (rr), Razoux J (ss)j and a good many others.
