His difficulty of breathing was fuch as to bring on weakening fweats; and in walking he was obliged very often to flop and pant through the exceeding ffiortnefs of his breath. Mr. Orchard was likewife troubled with frequent ficknefs at his ftomach and retching; his nights were very reltlefs, fometimes awakening fuddcnly almoft hoa ked with phlegm, and coughed fo feverely as frequently to occafion bleeding at the note, and profufe fweats. Dreffing and undreffing too, was attended with great difficulty and fatigue. In this melancholy and almoft hopelefs condition, Mr. Orchard applied to Dr. G. Convinced from much experience in fuch cafes, of the certain, nay almoft infallible good efleCts of his medicines and methods of cure, Dr. G. undertook him with the moft cordial affurance; (notwithftanding he had tried every thing that isufed In fuch cafes with little or no benefit,) the very firft day he became Dr. G’s pa- tient, tbe relief he found was very great s—he had an excellent night—he awoke jefrefhed, fpit freely and cafily—breathed much eafier—and found his cough was lefs troublefbme; and in ftiort, by continuing Dr. G’s AEtherial Medicines, and Balfamic Efiences, for a few weeks, he obtained a degree of relief beyond his moft fasguine expectations, ficeping found and eafy, and continuing fo free from pain](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b28520774_0054.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
