    introduction; A New Edition of the London Practice has been rendered indispensably necessary, fay the valuable discoveries made in Chemise try, and the rapid strides Medicine has made towards perfection, in consequence of which a new Pharmacopoeia has been published j the Editor, under these circumstances, has with great diffidence corrected and revised the Work, and he trusts the alterations made will not be found destitute of importance.
