    Thos Cuddon Foster s Composition for the Cure of Ague. Take a pint of tlie best brandy, one pennyworth of cochineal, finely pounded, one pennyworth of saffron, put them into a bag and squeeze the juices from it; then take two ounces of the best bark and put it into a bottle with the juices, and before the fitt comes on take an half gill glass of the medicine, and every two hours after, the same quantity, till the whole medicine is 5 taken. In witness whereof, I, the said Abraham Foster, have hereunto set my hand and seal, this Fifteenth day of July, One thousand seven hundred and sixty-six. ABRAHAM FOSTER, (l.s.) 10 AND BE IT REMEMBRED, that on the day and year last above mentioned the aforesaid Abraham Foster came before our said Lord the King in His Chancery, and acknowledged the Specification aforesaid, and all and every thing therein contained and specified, in form above written. And also the Specification aforesaid was stampt according to the tenor of the Statute made in the sixth year of the reign of the late King and Queen William & Mary 15 of England, & so forth.
