Ant. 1630, 8vo, HENRY, ruz Minsrrez, or Brinp Harry, the names given to a very popular Scottish Poet: Wallace the Hero of his only Work, was treacher- ously put to death in 1305, and Henry is supposed to have been born half a century later. It is conjectured that he wrote his celebrated Poem in n 1446, and the only MS. copy of it known, is now in the Advocates’ Library, Edinburgh. It was first printed under the title of,—Actis and Deidis of Sbhyr Willam Wallace.. Edinb. 1570. And has since passed through numerous editions, among which are, Edin. 1648, 8vo. Edin. 1673, 12mo. Edin, 1758, 4to. Bl. let. The latter of these impressions, it is said, was printed by R. Freebairn, his Maiesty’s Printer, in the year 1714 or 15; but as he engaged in the rebellion, it was not published till 1758, when it appeared with the date of its publication. Best edit. entit..
