Biographical note

John Cox established a pharmacy at 36 Watergate, Grantham, in the 1840s which was later operated by his son, John Cox Junior, until the early 1900s. The pharmacy was subsequently taken over by Cam Chambers who moved the business to 14 Market Place, Grantham, in the 1960s when 36 Watergate was demolished.
