    TUBERCULOSIS. All forms of tuberculosis are notifiable to the Local Authority. These notifications are passed on to the County Medical Officer of Health, as the Tuberculosis Committee of the Warwickshire County Council are responsible for the scheme dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. The County Council, through the Coventry and Warwickshire Joint Tuberculosis Committee, maintain a Tuberculosis Dis¬ pensary in the town. This Committee also maintains sanatoria. The closest co-operation still exists between the officers of the Joint Tuberculosis Committee and your Medical Officers of Health. In the main, the cases that your Health Department refer to the Tuberculosis Officers are children under fourteen years of age. Any such child having the slightest suspicion of tuber¬ culosis is sent to the local dispensary. We still continue to re-house patients suffering from tuber¬ culosis who live in unsuitable surroundings, where it is at all possible. The Housing Committee have always taken a sympa¬ thetic view of cases referred to them by the Health Department. Non-pulmonary tuberculosis cases that occur in residents of the town are dealt with by an arrangement with the Joint Tuber¬ culosis Committee at your Orthopaedic Clinic.
