![8033 Wickliffe (J.) Wicklieffes Wicket. Faythfully ouerseene and corrected after the originall and first copie. The lacke wherof was cause of innumerable and shamfull erroures in the other edicion. As shall easyly appeare to them that lyste to conferre the one with the other. Hereunto is added an Epistle to the reader. With the protestacion of Jhon Lassels late burned in Smythfelde : and the Testament of Wyllyam Tracie Esquire, ex- pounded by Willyam Tyndall, and Jhon Frythe. No place, printer’s name, or date, c. 1548 *,* a—d in eights. VERY RARE. The first edition of this little work was published with the imprint of “ Norenburch” 1546. This second edition was put forth by Myles Coverdale, whose initials are found at the end thus, ‘‘ Ouerseene by M.C.” From the title of the first edition, as given by Herbert, p. 1559, it would seem that it did not contain the protestation of John Lascelles, which in this second edition is placed between the treatise of Wickliffe and “ the Testament of William Tracie.” Lascelles was burned in Smithfield in 1546. 8034 Wickliffe (J.)
