Jt caufes a moffi agreeable, pleafattty and charming^ HtnCdtiou about the Region of the Stomachy which if one lies, of fits {fill, diffufes it feli^ in a kind oi indi finite manner, fsizing one not unlike the gentle, fweec DeUquium that we find upon our entrance into a mod agreeable Slumber, which, upon yiel¬ ding to it, generally ends in Sleep: But if the Perfbn keeps himfelfin ABion, Difcourfe, or Bufi- nefsy it feenis (efpecially when given in a Mom ningy after a moderate Reft at Night) like a moft delicious and extraordinary Refreshment of the Spirits upon very good News, or any other great caufe of Joy, as the fight of a dearly beloved Per- ion, &*c. thought to have been loft at Sea, or the SikeT cauflng fuch a pleafant Ovation of the Spiritsy Serenity, &c, as we find after a competent Mea- fare of generous Wine ad Hilar it atem^(2.s Men u!e to fay.) It is indeed fo unexpreffibly fine and lweet-a Rleafurej that it is very difficult for me to defcribe, or any to conceive it, but luch as actually feel it | for 5ds as if a Good Genius poffeffed, or informed a Man; therefore People do commonly call it a heavenly Condition, as if no worldly Pled fire was to be compar’d with it: Helmontianus would doubt* lets exprefs it by the Archeus in his very belt Humour. * If has been compar'd foot without goocicauie) to a permanent gentk Degree of that Pleafure, which Modeftv forbids the naming of, and tis well worth a Remark, that both are Pleafures of the lame Senfe, viz,, that of Reeling ? for it cannot be a.Pleafure of any other Senfe, fmee it is inter- ml.
