![Children of school aji'e whose homes are too far from the school to allow them to return each night are placed in lodgings by the Education Committee and these children are kept under supervision by the School Nurses. Milk Supply. Dried iVIilk is supplied at all tire County Maternity Clinics on the advice of the Clinic Medical Officer. In neces- sitous cases milk is su])|)lied free of cost. During the year 1937, 12123 lb. packets were given free and 6889 lb. packets were sold at cost price. Eresh milk is also supplied and during the year 147 mothers received free milk at a cost of £447/12/6 on the recommendation of the Clinic Medical Officers. REGISTRATION OF NURSING HOMES. At the end of the year 1937 there were 21 Registered Nursing Homes in the administrative County. These are regularly visited by the Assistant Medical Officer or Super- intendent Health Visitor. Two licences cvere granted during the year. MATERNITY .VND CHILD WELFARE.
