    The floors are of concrete blocks covered with ‘‘ Armadek ” composition, making the whole building fireproof throughout. The interior walls are finished in “ Victorite”’ plaster, and decorated with “‘ Velure ”’ enamel. The fittings are of the latest type, and the sanitation of the most up-to-date character. The Administrative Block, which faces the entrance to the grounds in Cambridge Road, contains, on the ground floor, a large Entrance Hall with main stair, Reception Room, Surgeon’s Reception Room, Nurses’ Dining Room and Sitting Room, Matron’s office, Board Room, Pathological Room and Dis- pensary. Also a Nurses’ unit, containing two single bed wards and one double bed ward with all conveniences. On this floor are placed the Kitchens, with Pantries and Cold Storage, : a Maids’ Sitting Room being provided for the use of the domestic staff when off duty. On the first floor are Matron’s Sitting Room, Bed Room, and Bedrooms for both Nursing and Domestic Staffs, with bath and Lavatory accommodation. From the Main Entrance Hall a corridor six feet wide leads to the Ward blocks, which are in two corresponding wings, splayed so as to gain the maximum amount of sunshine and air. These blocks contain four wards, each of which accom- modates ten beds, with two single bed wards adjoining ; thus making a total of forty-eight beds, or fifty-two beds in all, with the Nursing unit in Administrative block. The Ward Blocks are each provided with Sisters’ Rooms and Ward Kitchens. Bathrooms and Sanitary Arrangements are fitted with excellent cross ventilation. | Verandahs are provided to each 10 bed ward, on to which the patients’ beds can be wheeled. There is also a fifth verandah, which will probably be at the disposal of the private patients. Fire escape stairs are provided from each first floor verandah. An electric bed- lift from Ground to First Floor is fixed between the two Ward Wings. Apart from the general lighting of the Wards, each bed is fitted with a shaded electric light at the head, and an extra plug in case of Medical necessity. Hot Water Radiators are placed in juxtaposition to ventila- tors, so that the air which enters the wards is warmed before reaching the rooms. The Operating Block, reached by a connecting corridor, is placed behind the Ward Blocks, and contains Operating Room,
