His Father, Maé- thew Francis Geoffroy, ‘was a confiderable Apothecary, and his Mother the Daughter of a celebrated Chirurgeon; fo that he feems to have had a kind of hereditary Title to Skill in his Profeflion, In his Education, his Father fpar’d for no Pains or Expence, that could contribute to his Son’s Improvement.
