    or a troublefome Diarrhoea; the Menfes were pale, and in fmall Quantities; and her Health in general was greatly impaired. £>he had icarce recovered from this weak State, when the Death of a near Relation brought her almoft into the fame Circurn- flances ; from which fhe was flowiy recruit¬ ing, when fhe married. Her Sicknels, Vo¬ miting, and Lois of Appetite, feon returned; which fhe concealed as much as poffible. Under thefe Difad vantages, file was feized with this Diftemper, a Day or twro after fhe had vifited an Acquaintance labouring under the fame Diforder: It came on with a Cold- nefs and 1 rembling like that of an Ague-Fit, great Faintnefs, and an acute Pain in her Head, with a Vomiting more violent than fhe was ufually affected with, and a Purging. To¬ wards Evening fhe grew very hot and refllefs, complained of a Soreneis in her Throat, and the Difcharges abated. Her Face, Neck, and Hands were intenfely red; flue f'equently fighed, and from her Afpedt and Geftures there was Reafon to fufpedt a Delirium ap¬ proaching. She flept little that Night; and next Morning her Pulfe, which before was very quick and fmall, feemed to be feme- what more lull, but not fenlibly flower ; and fhe complained of Faintnefs and Anxiety.
