He shall without delay visit such patients as shall particularly request his attendance, upon a communication heing made to him by the resident Medical Officers; and shall administer the Sacrament to those whom he may find duly prepared and desirous of receiv- ing it. 28. He shall have the charge and superintendence of the reli- gious and moral books and tracts, which may be supplied for the use of the patients, but he shall not distribute any which may not previously have received the sanction of the Committee of Council. 29. He shall keep a journal, in which he shall record the times when the service has been performed, and the number and description of the persons who may have attended. 30. He shall also make a memorandum of his visits, and of such circumstances as may appear to him worthy of remark. 31. Any patient wishing to receive the spiritual assistance of any other Clergyman, or of any dissenting Minister, shall be at liberty to apply to the Nurse, who shall communicate the same to the Hatron, who shall without delay send for such Clergyman or dis- senting Minister as the patient may wish to see. X APOTHECARY—HIS DUTIES. 32. The hours of attendance in the Shop shall be from Eight o'clock in the Morning, until Seven o'Clock in the Evening, and during those hours it shall never be left without attendance. 33. He shall at all times have hi readiness such utensils and sim])le medicines, and prepare such quantities of compound for- mula contained in the London Pharmacopoeia, or ordered by the Medical or Surgical Officers, as may be necessary for the practice of the Hospital. 34.
