Even the reasoning of a distinguished individuality does not become ours wholly until the individuality itself has touched our imagination. ‘The man of genius affects the world long before he is understood. He touches the imagination of men and draws them into the circle of his spiritual percep- tions. : These phenomena are symbolic of the loft- iest manifestations of human life.
