![148 Comp. Soda 19, acid 15, water 66 parts. Thenard.— Prop. Inodorous ; taste nearly that of common salt: crystals rhomboidal prisms ; efflorescent ; soluble in 4 parts of water at 60°.— Oper, Purgative.— Use. In all cases where the bowels require to be opened ; particularly adapted to those who are fastidious in taste, as, when dissolved in broth made without salt, the taste of the salt is not perceived.— Dose. 3}. to 3ij.—Incomp.
