A simple, but very effective atomizer may be extemporized from the common Indian rubber syringe, possessed by most families. After unscrewing the injecting tube, connect the syringe with the short tube of a glass atomizer, by means of a short piece of rubber pipe and place the long tube in a vial con- taining the diluted alcohol or medicine. Hold the atomizer about one foot from the patient's mouth and contract the bulb, whenever the patient draws breath.
