Bacteriological examinations v/ere made in respect of 10 samples and the results were as fcliows:- From Wells Sati sfac tory. Ur.spt ip factory 5 4 From South Staffs, Water work; Company. 1 Three of the unsatisfactory samples gave indication of manurial contamination whilst one was polluted by the carcas > of a dead animal. The contaminated wells were cleansed and chlorinated and subsequent samples were satisfactory and the s upplie s app rove d, One Chemical examination was carried out and proved satisfactory.
