    CHAPTER V. “ Local ” or Specific Treatments. In this section it is proposed that we con- sider the application of the theories which have been discussed in the preceding chapter. Only one or two actual examples are given, as, bearing in mind what has been already said, you will be able, after a little practice, to follow your own methods, without referring to any book whatever. It is, however, imperatively necessary that, in starting to heal, you should acquaint yourself with the exact means of procedure : hence, let us take a couple of typical in- stances.
