Two spécimens were sliown one of the crystals which had formed spontaneously and anotlier of crystals prepared by precipitating the globulin witb sulpbate of anamonia and tlien dialysing off the salts. TLe urine from which thèse crystals were procured was that of an apparently healthy man who subsequently died of influenza. Post mortem examination shewed that the kidneys were healthy. The crystals are rhombic plates with an angulated extremity. They are ash free, contain between 6 and 7 per cent of water of crystal- lisation and give ail the reactions of a globulin. Their percentage composition is as follows C — 51.89; H — 6.88; N - 1G.06; S — 1.25 They contain no phosphorus. The substance coagulâtes as a stringy fibrinlike precipitate at between 56© and 59 C. „ (Reports from the Laboratory of the Royal Collège of Physicians of Ediuburgh.
