    ANNUAL ELECTION OF PATIENTS, MAY 31st, igi8. An Election of Thirty Patients was held at the Institution on Friday, May 31st, 1918. There were no unsuccessful candidates, the whole of the applicants being elected. In order to allow of the retention of patients likely to show further improvement under continued care and training, or whose discharge is deemed inadvisable—either in their own interest or for the sake of the general community—the Central Committee have adopted the principle of re-election.
