If a Testator wishes the Legacy not to be paid free of duty, the words in brackets should be omitted. NOTE.—Under the Mortmain and Charitable Uses Act, 1891, land may now be given by Will to the Society, and the provision formerly inserted in Wills directing Charitable Legacies to be paid out of pure personalty are now unnecessary.
