Szeily gave the firft Achates, which was found in the ~ River Acheus. For which Reafon the Sicilian is placed in the firft Rank, then the Cretian, Indian, Egyptian, Perfian, Arabian, and Cyprian. The Sicilian is black, inter+ _feéted with a white Vein. Crete produces -an Achates like a Filberd, with Gold Veins or Drops.
