Description

King Charles I (1600-1649) was found guilty of treason and beheaded outside Banqueting Hall in Whitehall on 30 January 1649

The beheading is shown in stages with the King giving an address to his people with heavenly intervention through a ray of light breaking through the clouds and angels holding laurels for the King
