    Extract from the Minutes of the Medical Committee of Marischal College and University of Aberdeen Marischal College, August 18, 1849. The Medical Committee, on learning of Dr. Harvey’s resignation of the office held by him in this University for the last ten years, unanimously agreed to record in their minutes their sense of the valuable services rendered to this school by their late Lecturer on the Institutes of Medicine, and their regret at losing these services at a time when, by his assiduous attention to the duties of his Class, and his eminent abilities as a teacher, he had brought the Class con - ducted by him to the highly efficient state in which it has been for some time past. They further directed that the Secretary should be requested to forward an excerpt of this minute to Dr. Harvey, with the uuanimous expression of their regard for that gentleman, with whom they have so long had so much pleasure in being associated, both as a Medical Practitioner and as a Colleague.
