Frs. 26.— Good edition of the collected works of Botallus, published and enlarged by Jan van Horne. Contains Botallus’ Observationes anatomicae, de incidendae venae modo, curatio per sanguinis missionem, de lue venerea, de vulneribus sclopetorum, etc. etc. Botallus’ treatise on gunshot wounds is noteworthy among the other controversies on this subject. In his work on bleeding, Botallus re- vived the disputes about venesection by recommending it in almost all disea- ses, advocating the withdrawal of large quantities of blood four or five times in an acute attack. — Fine copy.
