Nuck (1650-92) was first reader of anatomy and surgery at the Hague, and then in 1687 professor at Leyden. ‘‘ He injected blood vessels with mercury. By mixing this with lead or tin he was able to obtain a solid amalgam. Na- tural models of glands and of the lymphatic system could thus be obtained. At the end a third work by Paracelsus, De vita longa, 1562, which wants four leaves at the end. Some waterstains.
