![3 ee —— sane — oe ~— ee PART ONE AMENDMENTS OF THE COAL MINES ACT, 1911 Since the Coal Mines Act was passed in 1911 many of its provisions have been varied or amended. To facilitate reference to current require- repealed by the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act, 1946, where provisions of corresponding effect continue to be included. Verbal amendments relating to the title of “‘ deputy ’’ were made to certain sections by the Coal Mines (Officials and Inspections) General Regulations, 1951, and these are listed at the end of this Part. The rest of the Act remains in its original form except that under the Ministry of Fuel and Power Act, 1945, “‘ Minister [of Fucl and Power] ” should be read throughout wherever ‘‘ Secretary of State ”’ appears. SECTION : 2. APPOINTMENT OF MANAGER.
