    CHA Pt Of the Mufcles of the Ear. /YH E Mufcles of the ear may be divided into three claffes, viz. the Common, Proper, and Internal. The Common may move the whole ear; the proper only af- fect the particular parts to which they are conne€ted ; and the internal, the {mall bones within the tympanum. | The common mutfcles are, 1. ATTOLLENS AUREM, Arifes thin, broad, and tendinous, from the tendon of the occipito-frontalis, from which it is almoft infeparable, where it covers the aponeurofis of the temporal muicle. . | Inferted into the upper part of the ear, op- pofite to the antihelix.
