AbDEA, a province of Anian, on the Eaft coaft of Africa, See Apex. Ape, or Anga, a Kingdom of Africa, called alfo Zeila, from its capital town. It feldom rains here, and yet the couvatry is fruitful, being well wa- tered with rivers, It abounds with wheat, millet, frankincenfe, and pepper; and the tails of their fheep weigh 25lb, each. The inhabitants are Weaiomiccsie. ADELFoRS, a gold mine in the parifh of Altheda, and in the diftrict of Jonkioping, in the province of Smaland, in Sweden. It was firft difcovered in the year 1738; and there are ducats coined with its gold. AveEN, formerly a rich and confiderable town of Arabia the Happy, in Afia. There is a road over it to Alaba and old Caftile, which is very difficult: at its beginning there is a dark path of 49 or §0 paces cut through a rock; after which is the moun. tain that muft be paffed over, whichis one of the higheft of the Pyrennees, Thefs - mountains are little frequented ; and there are no inhabitants, except a few fhepherds who live in cottages, ApDRIANOPLE, a celebrated town of Turkey in Europe, and in Romania, wiih an archbifhop’s fee. It is feated on a fine plain, on the river Marazi, 115 miles N.
