Supervision of rivers and streams, under the Rivers Pollution Prevention Acts. The Sanitary Inspector is also the Survej^or to the Council. He and his assistants prepare plans and estimates and also super- vise the carrying out of all works on behalf of the local authority, and supervise all building in the District.
