It should be noted that 133 deaths (83 female and 50 male) were of patients over the age of 65 years. This draws attention to the problem of the care of the senile sick. General Health There were no epidemics during the year. Only two cases of dysentery were reported—a continuation of our good record. Three cases of tuberculosis were notified : two pulmonary and one other. This compares with 13 cases for 1949-50, and 17 for 1947-48.
