    PREFACE. The collections in this museum represent to a certain extent the history of pharmacy in this country for the last thirty years. Many of the specimens are those which have at different pe- riods served to illustrate papers in the Pharmaceutical Journal. To those papers references have been given, and at the same time attention has been directed to works where fuller in- formation may be obtained, preference having been given to such works as are in the Society's library, and easy of access to students.
