    i; i John iv. 20. If a man fay, llove God and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath feen, how can he love God whom he hath not feen ? HIS Apoftle tells us in the beginning of his Gofpel (a)> that no man hath feen God at any time, and repeats the fame in this Chapter (b). But yet St. ‘Paul tells us. That even the invifible things of God are clearly feen, being underftood by the things that are made (f). This indeed St. Paul fays to make the Infidelity of the Heathen, even upon natural Principles, inexcufably guilty. But if we take in not only the natural Sy- ftem, but alfo that fupernatural Light afforded us by the Manifeftations of a Divine Revelation, we fhall find there, not only fufficient Proof of the Being of a God, but alfo as much Convi&ion (a) Chap. i. ver. 18.
