Royston, 1672. £3 10s FROM THE LIBRARY OF HENRY VIII., KING OF ENGLAND. 958 Enchiridion Ecclesiae Sarum (cum Calendario) devotissimis Precationi- bus ac venustissimis imaginibus. Printed in red and black Gothic Letter, with numerous full-page woodcuts of Scripture Scenes, Moral Lessons, etc., with descriptions beneath in English verse. Also numerous fine ornamental initials, with Kerver’s small device on title and the ‘‘ Arma Redemptoris Mundi ”’ on last page, followed by the colophon. Printed entirely upon vellum. Thick 12mo. ‘“‘/m#pressum est hoc Orartum Parisiis in edibus Vidue Spectabilis Virt Thielmanni Kerver, anno 1528.” Contemporary calf. From the Library of King Henry VIII., with his Arms on each side, surmounted by a crown and the letters R. C. (Rex Catholicus) enclosed within gilt arabesques. £105 ** * A perfect copy of an exceedingly rare Sarum book. The upper cover and the lower portion of the back are a little damaged, but the book is a very desirable copy. Enclosed in a dark-blue morocco pull-off case.
