    nious and obfervant Gentlemen; and always with the fame Suecefs. In cutaneous Difeafes, the inter¬ nal Ufe of the Water is apt for fome Days to increafe the Eruptions; but by a longer Continuance, it waflies them off and clears the Skin. In fcorbutic Habits alfo it produces fimilar Effects, when applied ex¬ ternally ; but by continuing its Ufe, all thefe angry Pimples are com¬ monly foon heal’d, and difappear. Thefe Effects were very remarkable in Mary Dudley and John Towns- hend, both In-Patients of the Wor- ceftcr Infirmary. The former of thefe was receiv’d tor a Scorbutic Uleer in the Leg of lcng Handing; attended with a great Defluxion on the Part, and a large Emption over the whole Limb. The Ulcer was digefted and fill’d with Flefh, but could not be cicatrifed by the ufual Dreflings
