    Years with a Leprofy, fo bad as to deferve the Name of an Elephantia- fis. He had been under the Care of feveral eminent Phyficians, by whofe Directions he had taken va¬ rious approved Medicines; had ufed Llandrindod, Cheltenham, and Wellington Waters ; and laftly had drank and bathed in the Sea Water at Brighthelmfton ; and all unfuc- cefsfully. He laft Year came to Mal¬ vern ; and was then in fo deplorable a Condition that he could fcarcely walk ; the Skin cracking upon eve¬ ry Motion of the Mufcles, and ooz¬ ing out a filthy Sanies ; and every Night he left the Print of his Body on the Sheets. His Affairs would not permit him to continue at the Well more than feven Weeks; but in that fhort Time, by Bathing in the Water of the Holy Well, and drinking largely of the fame, his Skin was made perfectly clean and fmooth
