About six years ago, saw Mr Syrae, of Edinburgh, who ordered some aj:)plications of sulphur. These aggravated the disease very much. When I saw this lady, a large ijortion of the inner angle of the left eye and a jjortion of tlio forehead was in a state of can- cerous ulceration, accompanied udth the lancinatiitg pains of the disease. Tliis lady placed herself under my care; and I am now glad to state that the disease is arrested, and that she no longer suffers from the darting pains in the part. The general results of his practice I cannot tell, but many of his patients have come to me for relief, after having been cauterised by him; and in all, I have fomid the disease so far advanced, and the parts so destroyed by the repeated and unsparing use of these fearful agents, that diagnosis in most of the cases was almost impossible. Case CXXXI. Mrs F.—This lady was under Dr Caustics to the ^i^ipson’s Care for ulceration of the neck Womb. yf womb. I saw her in June, 1854. It was about nine months since she was last in Edin- burgh, when she was cauterised twice.
