The sixth intercostal nerve. The seventh intercostal nerve. The eighth intercostal nerve. The ninth intercostal nerve. The tenth intercostal nerve. The eleventh intercostal nerve. The twelfth intercostal nerve. Branches from the first lumbar pair of nerves, going to suppl\ the abdominal muscles and glands of the groin. The EXTERNAL SPERMATIC NERVE arising from the first lumbar pair; it is seen bifurcating as it approaches the pubes, where the external branch terminates, while the internal branch goes to the round ligament of the uterus. Given off from the spinal marrow between the ribs.
