It belonged in 1482 to a certain Frater Stephanus Moledus, a German, and has an inscription on the first blank leaf. 522 Lactantius (L. C.) [Opera Varia] Divinarum Institutionum lib. VII, ete. title within jine woodcut figured border, woodcut initials and ornaments, printer's device on separate leaf at end, contemporary German binding in oak boards, leather, stamped in panels of classical and emblematic female figures and ornaments with a crucifiv in gold in the centre of upper cover, and Christ descending into Hell blind stamped on the under, with legends, y. e. a very well preserved AND AN UNCOMMON SPECIMEN OF SWIss-GERMAN BINDING, but the clasps are missing, enclosed in a new purple morocco slip case (from the Sunderland library) sm. 4to.
