Format is different from RET 3/2/6/11. On Debit side there are columns for 'General', 'Patients', Bank' into which sums are totalled. On Credit side, there are columns for 'Wages', 'General' and 'Bank' Many entries on Credit side are merely given under name of tradesmen, suppliers etc. Wages are totals only. A few items note the purpose of payments eg 'Amusements', 'Private Nursing Dept'. Most entries are on Credit side On Debit side, payments for (named) patients noted, also other items eg 'sale of work', 'Furniture Account' There are cross references to folios in Patients' Ledger or General Ledger A paper describing the Monthly Audit procedure 1892 is stuck into the volume at front Marked 'Cash Book' on spine
