Booklet advertising Guy's Tonic, promoting better digestion through thorough mastication of the food and the taking of the tonic which cures flatulence, heartburn, acidity, sick headache, torpidity of the liver, nervous debility, constipation and indigestion (or dyspepsia). Water, coffee, milk and alcohol (in small amounts) are suggested as good for thedigestion, tea is not. Charts are given for the amount of time the body takes to digest food. Cover is purple card with a pattern of roses around a shield printed in gold and silver.
