My Lords, Ladies, and Gentlemen, I have the lionour to submit to you the Annual Leport on the Health and Sanitai-y Administration of the County for the year 192(3. The Iteport for the year under review is an Ordinary Heport, and therefore of a more sim])le character than the Survey Keport for the vear 1925. The next Survey Leport will be for the year 19d(). The intervening lleports will be Ordinary. The birth-rate for the year is 1().9 per 1,()()() of the population, and is the lowest ivcorded since 1917. The death-rate is 12.‘I, compared with 11.5 in the previous year. TTie infantile mortality-rate is (>0.5 ])er 1,()()() registered births. It c(mipares favourably with ()(!.() for 1925. dTiere were' sixteen cases of ty})hoid fever, and six of smallpox. Maternity and (diild welfare work has made further progress by the opening of another Infant Welfare (Tmtre at Market W’eighton. The Ifornsea Liban District ('ouncil have arranged to be supplied with water iii bulk to the boundary from the (bty of Hull, and the Filey Hrban District (\)uncil are augmenting their own su])})ly.
