Photographs 1-2 (duplicates, with one slightly sharper) show what is presumably Gainsborough House, with a man leaning against railings, and the house beyond the railings. Photograph 3, which is probably also Gainsborough House, shows a very large house and grounds (Gainsborough House was very large in size), with a man leaning on railings in the foreground. Photograph 4 shows Retreat patients in a carriage at Scarborough: this must date from the period when Retreat patients were holidaying at Gainsborough House.
