![Day 1836 and continuing uninterruptedly for two Days and two nights. The Roads were blocked up, all over the Kingdom, and communication interrupted for several Days. Again in the early Part of the Year 1840, impeding for several Weeks the Progress of the Work in the Tunnel of the London and Brighton Railway, near Merstham. The Population of this Parish, as taken by Order of Govern- ment, in the year One thousand, eight hundred and eleven, con- sisted of — Males 208 Females 195 In the Year, one thousand eight hundred and twenty one, the Population was found to consist of— Males 248 \ Total 440 Souls.
