![[St. Margaret, Chipstead. ] Chipsted in Surrey. This Inventorye* made the xij day of Septembre of alle such implimentes and other ornamentes as remayn in the parich chirch of Chipsted the vj yere of our soveraen lorde Kyng Edward the vj'® by the grace of Godde kynge of England, France and Yreland deffendour of the faith and upon erth supreme heade of both the chirche of England and Ireland. Inprimis, one chales of silver parcelle gylt. Item, one other chales of silver noftt gylt. Item, one crosse of latten. Item, one payer of sensers laten. Item, one vestment of redde silk. Item, one coope of blew velvett. Item, 1) albes of lynnen cloth. Item, ij alter clothis of lynnen cloth. Item, one surples for the preest. [tem, one corporas of redde silk. Item, one corporas cloth. Item, 111] belles sutable in the stepulle. The CHurcH Puare consisted in 1895+ of— Silver Cup.—Weight, 10 oz. 18 dwt. Height, 8% in. Diam. of bowl, 343 in.; of foot, 34 in. Depth of bowl, 4% in. London hall-marks of 1664:—1. Leopard’s head crowned, in outline. 2. In a plain shield W M, a mullet between pellets below. 3. Black letter capital G. 4. Lion pas- sant.
