It is our duty again to press very strongly upon the con¬ sideration of the Committee of Visitors the subject of the appointment of an Assistant-Medical Officer, as in our opinion an Institution of this size and description should never at any time be left without the presence of a medical man. As to the u Visitation and Management”, with regard to which we are directed by the Statute to enquire, we have to report that the Committee visit very regularly, and devote much time and attention to the regulation of the Asylum and to its inmates, and that the Medical Superintendent continues to discharge his onerous duties with zeal and ability.
