Crick MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology University Postgraduate Medical School Hills Road Cambridge CB2 2HQ, England Dear Francis: Plenum Publishing Corporation will publish the proceedings of the Molecular Cytogenetics Symposium with myself and John Papaconstantinou as editors. The volume will be reproduced by photo-offset which permits release of the book within 100 days of receipt of the material by Plenum. Although all the mat typing will be done at Oak Ridge, I enclose a sample mat. for the purpose of sizing illustrations. Please use the following guidelines for your manuscript: 1. A total of about 12 pages, including figures and references. 2. Style according to Cold Spring Harbor Symposia. 3. Line illustrations (drawings, diagrams, charts) should be slightly larger than that of the final reproduction size since they undergo a 10% reduction. These illustrations will be photostated by Plenum prior to mounting. 4. Photographs (halftones) of approximately the size desired (keeping in mind the mat size) should be submitted unmounted with magnifica tion scale and other symbols, if used. 5. Authors and figure numbers should appear on the reverse side of each illustration. 6. Figure legends should be submitted on a separate sheet. 7. Please compose a list of key words from your paper to be used in a subject index. We realize you cannot have a manuscript in hand at Gatlinburg but I thought you might like to have this information on file. Looking forward to welcoming you to Tennessee in April.
