The centre point of attraction for all these country gatherings, is the Casino, where the gastronomic wants of everyone are civilly and willingly attended to and which has now been, for years, in the hands of Herr Gottfried Pfaff, who was long renowned in Konigstein as an excellent host who always provided his guests with a good cuisine. The waters of the springs at Kronthal, which are remarkably easy of digestion, in consequence of their iavourable combination of common salt and iron, may — without our laying ourselves open to the reproach that “invalids being looked upon as milch-kine” we are attempting to raise the number of visitors by praising the curative properties of the waters — be strongly recommended in the following complaints: Weakness arising from recent attacks of illness; loss of blood; excessive bodily, or mental fatigue, in advanced years, etc. — In diseases of the blood vessels, hemorrhoids, green sickness, etc. — In diseases of the nervous system; more especially of the spinal marrow, etc. — In diseases of the respiratory organs. — In diseases of the digestive organs; stomachic cramp, congestion, diarrhea, excessive secretion of mucous, vomiting, etc. — In diseases of the sexual organs. — In rheumatism, scrofula, tetters and gout, as well as in diseases of the eyes and ears.
