Anjnvay, the story of Glaukos, and the oracular response, preserved in it, or preserving it, ex- hibit Hellenic morality in a remarkable phase. The observation that death comes alike to the just and to the unjust has been made: likewise the observa- tion that the wicked man flourishes at times to a remarkable extent.
